Say it out loud. Change from the inside.

Problem & solution

Affirmations work in theory. Keeping them up is the hard part.

Why it is hard

  • The effect is slow to feelChange comes from repetition, and most people tire out before they repeat enough.
  • The methods are fiddlyNotebooks, videos, meditation — each needs its own time and tools.
  • Starting friction is highYou have to build a new time, a new place and a new routine first.

How Casting approaches it

  • The phone in your hand is the doorInstead of a new habit, you ride on the alarm that already rings every day.
  • You speak instead of readNot a sentence your eyes slide past — a sentence that leaves your mouth.
  • Once a day, kept shortThe ritual is short on purpose, so it is easy to keep doing.

Meditation empties; Casting casts. It is not a diary you write in — it is a practice you speak out.

Core features

A daily ritual built from three things

The alarm becomes the door v1.0

Set an alarm for morning and night and the moment it rings is the entrance to the ritual. Dismissing it is not the end — it leads straight into today’s affirmation. Alarms run on iOS AlarmKit, so they ring even when the app is closed.

Speak it, don’t just read it v1.0

You say the affirmation out loud and the app listens along. Speech is processed only on your iPhone and never sent to a server, and what you say is never scored. When you can’t make a sound, you can type it instead.

Words that know you In development

A short interview asks about your current state of mind and the behavior you want to change, then helps compose affirmations in your own words. We are building this step with Anthropic’s Claude; it is not part of the current app version.

How it works

The alarm rings, you say one line, the day begins.

  1. The alarm rings

At the morning and night times you chose, the alarm opens the ritual.

  2. One line appears

Today’s affirmation shows up on screen as a single line.

  3. You say it out loud

The app listens along. Your voice is processed only on the device.

  4. A star is placed

The day you finished stays as a star, and the days add up to a record you can see.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is Casting?

Casting is an iPhone app for a daily ritual of speaking affirmations out loud, anchored to your alarms. When your morning or night alarm rings, one line appears and you say it out loud. Repeated daily, the aim is to shift thought patterns from the inside.

Can I install it right now?

Not yet. The app is being prepared for App Store release, and once it is live we will add the App Store link here. To ask about progress, write to [email protected].

Which devices does it support?

iPhones running iOS 26 or later. Alarms use iOS 26’s AlarmKit, which is why that version is required.

Is my voice stored or sent to a server?

No. Speech recognition runs on Apple’s on-device recognition, entirely on your iPhone. We do not record your voice, store it, or send it to a server.

Does it grade or score what I say?

No. Casting does not score the accuracy of your speech. The point is not evaluation; it is the experience of saying the sentence yourself.

Where is Claude (AI) used?

We plan to use Anthropic’s Claude API in a feature under development, “Words that know you”, to help compose personal affirmations from the answers you give in an interview. It is not in the version being prepared for release; your voice is never sent; and we ask for consent before sending your answers.

How is my personal data handled?

The current app has no sign-up and does not ask for your name or email. Alarm settings and progress stay on your device, and saved affirmations live in your private iCloud. The privacy policy has the details.

Is it free?

Casting offers an optional paid subscription, and Apple handles payment. Subscription terms and prices will appear on the App Store page when the app is released.

How is it different from a meditation or journaling app?

Meditation empties the mind and a journal writes things down. Casting speaks sentences out loud and sends them out.

Where do I send questions or feedback?

Write to [email protected] — Korean or English is fine.
